My passion for pen and ink started when I was traveling in Europe with my father at the age of 15. I was amazed by a young art student who was working on a beautiful sketch in front of the Saint Mark's Basilica in Venice, Italy.  At that very moment I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in art.

Years later, while studying in Italy, I sat at the very same place where I had seen the young art student many years before, but this time with my sketchbook and pen in hand.  I drew the same cathedral as a gift to my father.
